A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is becoming an increasingly popular cosmetic procedure amongst young females. Through a transferral process, liposuction is utilised to remove the unwanted fat from other areas of the body – predominantly from the thighs, stomach or back – and is then injected into the buttocks. Before it is transferred into the buttocks, the fat is processed and cleaned in order to ensure that only healthy fat is placed back into the body. The results of a Brazilian Butt Lift will give you a fuller, more enhanced appearance.

What are the potential risks and complications of BBL Surgery?Like with any surgery there are some risks involved these include swelling, bruising, asymmetry, numbness, blood clots and wound infection.
Who is an ideal candidate? An ideal candidate for a BBL is someone who has excess and unwanted fat in other areas of their body. If a patient does not have adequate deposits of fat, they may not be suitable for the surgery.
How long does it take to get back to normal activities?Although recovery time will vary amongst individuals, most patients are required to take at least 5 days off work. Within 2-4 weeks, the majority of swelling will have settled, however, the final result will not be visible until 6 months after the procedure. Patients will be required to wear a compression garment in order to relieve excess pressure and swelling. Mild activity and low weight training can be commenced after 3 weeks.
Will there be much scarring?Patients after a Brazilian Butt Lift tend to not have any noticeable scarring as the surgery has minimal incisions.
