Beyond his city practice, Dr Barker is committed to delivering specialist care to rural and Indigenous communities. He regularly travels to Broken Hill and the South Coast to provide reconstructive services, ensuring that patients outside major cities receive the same high standard of care. He works closely with general practitioners, believing that continuity of care and collaboration are essential for optimal patient outcomes.
Dr Barker‘s passion for innovation extends into academia. He holds a senior clinical lecturer appointment at Macquarie University, where he mentors surgical trainees and contributes to research that could reshape the future of breast augmentation and reconstruction. His work at the university includes projects on breast implant safety and novel techniques designed to improve patient outcomes and minimise potential risks.
Away from the operating theatre, Dr Barker is committed to longevity medicine and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A former competitive tennis player, he now enjoys yoga and stays active with a strong social circle in Sydney. Having lived in Sydney for more than 25 years, he remains deeply connected to the community.

Dr Mark Kohout

Dr. Mark Kohout is a fully trained plastic surgeon with 25 years of experience and extensive training from global leaders in the United States, where he received specialty training at Harvard University, and Great Britain where he earned fellowships from two prestigious surgical colleges. Meanwhile, his advanced microsurgical research led to a Master of Surgery degree from Melbourne University.
Specialising in breast, genital, and male breast surgeries, Dr Kohout is a proud member of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) since 1996.
Dr. Kohout has appeared in media like The Biggest Loser and Extreme Transformations. He has also published a number of articles in his field.
He’s also lectured at venues all over the world and written a number of scientific research papers in the field of plastic surgery.
Dr Kohout has significant experience in the field of cosmetic surgery and enjoys helping others benefit from the increasingly varied and advanced techniques available.

Dr. Lisa Friederich is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She completed medical school at the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgey (MBBS) in 2000. She commenced Specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2008 and was awarded her Fellowship in 2015.
Before commencing medical studies, Dr. Friederich studied Art and Photography and has had her work exhibited in the Art Gallery of Western Australia. It was this drive that attracted her to plastic surgery. Her appreciation of aesthetics helps in her planning and practice in plastic surgery, whether it be a minor skin cancer removal or a major cosmetic procedure.
As a woman and mother, Dr Friederich can offer valuable insight into surgical options for both men and women.
